Picolaxine (Sodium picosulfate) is a contact stimulant laxative used as a treatment for constipation or to prepare the large bowel before colonoscopy or surgery.

Stimulant laxatives stimulate the muscles that line your gut, helping them to move poo along to your back passage. They take approximately 6 to 12 hours to work.
