Sodium picosulfate belongs to the laxative group that acts by contact. After oral administration, it crosses the stomach without causing any irritation. In therapeutic doses, Razilax stimulates the large intestine through direct stimulation without any absorption or contraction. Razilax may be taken at any time and the laxative effect appears 6 to 1o hours after administration.
Razilax is indicated for the treatment of all kinds of constipation, especially during pregnancy, bed rest, and in obesity, by potentiating the bowel evacuation. Razilax is indicated for the treatment of hemorrhoidal pain or anal damages.
